70% of consumers surveyed trusted consumer opinions posted online. Help potential clients feel confident in their decision to hire you by using the trusted Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ which provide an objective indicator of your ethics and legal ability. Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings help you:
- Showcase your expertise
- Highlight your credentials
- Attract new customers
An objective indicator of a lawyer's credentials, Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ help potential clients of legal services identify, evaluate and select the most appropriate lawyer for their legal matters.
To be rated, lawyers must meet the "very high" General Ethical Standards Rating and must also be rated on their Legal Ability. Legal Ability Ratings attest to a lawyer's legal ability in five key areas:
- Legal knowledge
- Analytical capabilities
- Judgment
- Communication ability
- Legal experience
Any subscribing lawyer can initiate a peer review, via our online Client Service Center. There's a minimum of eighteen nominations—attorneys and/or judges outside your organization—and a maximum of one set of nominations per year.
Bear in mind that the majority of lawyers consult Martindale-Hubbell when selecting counsel—whether seeking to refer business or looking for outside counsel. And nearly half use Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings as an indicator of quality in order to justify the selection process.
